Ond day when Oedipus grew up, he heard from a god that he would kill his father and marry his mother.
Shocked by this, he left Corinth and wandered the world.
2. After many years, a plague struck Thebes and many people died.
Oedipus was told by his god that the plague would end if they could find the murderer of King Laius.
Oedipus set out to find the murderer, and finally learned that he himself was the murderer.
Unable to stand his cruel fate, Oedipus pulled out his eyes and wandered the world.
Today the Oedipus Complex means the natural hatred boys have for their father and the love for their mother

그대로 직역하면 '아버지를 찬성하며 어머니를 위해 사랑한다'는 말이 되는데 뭔가 좀 모자란 듯하군요. 오이디푸스 콤플렉스의 원래의 뜻을 바탕으로 썼습니다. 그리고 내용중 일부가 빠졌습니다.
